Good Human Rights Stories – Women Empowerment and Gender Equality – Geneva 2020

What is it?

The Good Human Rights Stories initiative wants to promotes a fresh, positive narrative on human rights in the world, based on celebrating individual and cross-regional ownership of the universality and indivisibility of human rights.

Some of the stories we present are about small victories for a few people. Others concern laws and constitutions, have extended rights to millions of people. But they all have something in common: they have all contributed to better societies for all and allowed our countries to progress collectively.

Launched in the margins of the UN General Assembly in September 2018 in New York with representatives from the 14 participating countries from around the world, it wants to tell human rights stories aspiring to inspire the implementation of human rights-based policies and open consultative processes in all fields, by identifying, sharing, showcasing, and promoting positive examples.
